School communities across the world are acclimating to their new normal. Whether instruction is in person, online, or a mix of both, we are learning how to achieve the best version of school with as few sacrifices as possible. This can feel like an uphill climb with looming uncertainties. Still, leaders, educators, students, and families are learning together more than ever.
As we continue this journey together, we hope that emotional intelligence can be our guide. This newsletter was designed to provide you with new and helpful ways to enhance RULER’s reach in your school community during this uncharted new academic year.

Topic: Stress Reduction for Parents/Families
Description: Considering the incredible variety of student needs that parents and educators are managing, research indicates that stress levels are at an all-time high. Understanding the ripple effect of this stress and supporting each other with effective stress management strategies can be transformative in allowing adults to be at the best for students. This workshop provides attendees with research-based strategies for self-care, including monitoring strong emotional reactions, combatting de-motivating or stress-inducing thinking patterns, effective goal setting, coping skills that can be utilized, and incorporating mindfulness and relaxation techniques. This session is being offered in conjunction with the Child Mind Institute.
