Community Service

Community Service is an important and special part of our school community. PS 452 students participate in all kinds of community service - for the 452 community and the larger community outside our doors.​ If you would like to help with community service projects, please email ps452pta@gmail.com.

City HarvestFor Thanksgiving, Pre-K and Kindergarten students will lead a school-wide food drive for New Yorkers in need.

 

First Grade

Citymeals On Wheels

For Valentine’s Day, first graders make greeting cards for homebound seniors.

Second Grade

Project Cicero

Second graders teach other students about Project Cicero and lead a school-wide collection of NEW books for NYC classrooms in need.

Third Grade

Riverside Park Conservancy

Third graders clean up an area of Riverside Park and learn about what it takes to maintain one of the parks that IS their back yard.

Fourth Grade

Operation Backpack

Fourth graders teach other students about Operation Backpack and lead a school-wide collection of NEW backpacks filled with supplies for homeless children in NYC.

Fifth Grade

Westside Campaign Against Hunger

Fifth grade students help sort food into containers and stock the pantry for clients at Westside Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) on the Upper West Side.
