Kindergarten Application Period NOW Open
Children born in 2016 can NOW apply to kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year. The application deadline has been extended to Friday, January 22, 2021.
All New York City families with children born in 2016 should participate in kindergarten admissions, including children currently attending pre-K, students with disabilities, English Language Learners, and students with accessibility needs. All families who apply by the deadline will receive a kindergarten offer in April.

Students entering Kindergarten in September 2021 must have a 2016 birth date, be a resident of New York City, and follow the eligibility set by the Department of Education.
In New York City, children begin pre-K in the calendar year they turn four. If you have a child born in 2017, you will apply to pre-K this winter and your child will begin pre-K in September 2021.

Applying to Pre-K and Kindergarten
In New York City, families apply to Kindergarten through a centralized application process managed by the NYC Department of Education. Families do not apply directly to individual schools. Enrollment in Grades 1-5
If you live in the PS 452 zone and you would like to register your child for grades 1-5, please email email@example.com with your child’s name, date of birth, and the contact phone number. The parent coordinator will call you to set up an appointment.
